For more than three decades, Robin White has helped over a thousand individuals and families put their affairs in order, ease conflict, and find peace of mind. From his offices in Memphis, Tennessee and Ridgeland, Mississippi, he now devotes his practice entirely to the work he finds most rewarding: estate planning and probate for families across Tennessee and Mississippi.
Robin grew up in Baldwyn, Mississippi, and earned both his accounting degree in 1982 and his law degree in 1985 from Ole Miss. He began his career clerking for the Mississippi Supreme Court, then spent two years with a Jackson law firm. In 1989, at the age of 29, he opened his own practice with three chairs, a used typewriter, and a borrowed desk. He is proud to say that today, he owns that desk.
Over the next thirty years, Robin built a respected family law practice covering estate planning, divorce, and probate. In 2019, he merged his firm with a long-established Ridgeland practice, now known as Williford, McAllister, Jacobus and White, LLP.
When his younger daughter married and welcomed his grandson, Robin and his wife moved to the Germantown/Collierville area to be close during those early years. After becoming licensed in Tennessee, he opened a Memphis office, and today he serves clients throughout Tennessee and North Mississippi from that office. With time, he has narrowed his focus to the work that means the most to him: estate planning.
Robin was drawn to the law because he saw it as a noble profession, one full of challenge and reward, and he has spent his career working to honor it through honesty and respect. After years of guiding families through the stress and conflict of divorce, he made a deliberate decision to spend the later part of his career on work that brings people relief rather than worry.
That work is estate planning. As Robin puts it, divorce cases showed him how stress and conflict can wear people down, while estate planning tends to leave clients feeling relieved and reassured, as though a heavy burden has finally been lifted.
His perspective is personal as well as professional. Having said goodbye to all four of his grandparents, both of his parents, and his wife's parents, Robin understands firsthand how much it matters to leave behind a clear, organized plan. A thoughtful estate plan can reduce conflict, shorten the administration process, and save money for the people left behind.
Because the subject can feel uncomfortable, Robin keeps the conversation focused less on loss and more on protection. Incapacity touches many families, and everyone eventually passes on. Planning ahead is ultimately an act of care for the people who matter most, and for the peace of mind that comes from knowing they will be looked after.
Clients return to Robin, and send their friends and family his way, because of how he treats them. He is approachable, down to earth, professional, honest, and compassionate, with a sense of humor that helps put people at ease. And if he happens to miss your call, you can count on a prompt reply.
From the first phone call to the finished plan, the experience is built around warmth, respect, and your time. Appointments begin on schedule, calls are returned quickly, and flat fees are explained clearly at the outset and honored throughout, so there are never any surprises. Every document is reviewed carefully with you, and Robin remains available long after you leave the office.
Robin also believes a good plan should fit the family it is made for. Certain provisions are common to most estate plans, but no two families have the same needs, so no two plans should look exactly alike. Robin pays close attention to the details that matter most to each client, with the goal of creating a plan that, in his words, fits like a tailored suit rather than an oversized jumpsuit.
Whether you are protecting a young family, preparing for retirement, or making sure your wishes are honored and your loved ones are spared unnecessary conflict, Robin White is ready to help. Reach out today to schedule a conversation.
